Congratulations to the recipients of the Georgia State University International Education Fee (IEF) Study Abroad Scholarship who participated in an international education experience in Spring 2016! The Georgia State University International Education Fee (IEF) Study Abroad Scholarship, initiated in 2004, is funded by the international education student fee.

Georgia Southern University's Southern Orientation, Advisement and Registration (SOAR) Team recently traveled to Greenville, North Carolina, to attend the Southern Regional Orientation Workshop (SROW) where they won several awards. SROW is a regional conference through the Association for Orientation, Transition and Retention in Higher Education (NODA) attended by undergraduate orientation leaders, graduate students and orientation professionals.

More than 150 undergraduate students presented their research at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC) on Wednesday, April 13. Students from a wide variety of disciplines shared their findings through oral presentations, posters, artistic displays and performances.

The Honors College Ambassadors corps is composed of a diverse and dedicated group of outstanding Honors College students who desire to hone their leadership skills, while also contributing to the Honors College legacy. These student leaders serve as representatives of the Honors College at a variety of internal and external events.

Congratulations to the recipients of the Study Abroad Global Experience Scholarship (GES) who participated in an international education experience in Fall 2015! This scholarship provides opportunities to deserving students by offering substantial award amounts of up to $5,000 for Maymester or Summer programs, $7,500 for Fall or Spring semesters abroad, and $15,000 for an Academic Year, depending on financial need and program costs.

Congratulations to the 2015 Global Ambassador Program cohort for their outstanding service and leadership! Global Ambassador Program participants demonstrate intercultural communication and leadership skills through conversations, interactions, and acculturation with visiting international students at Georgia State University.

Georgia Southern University has chosen its 2016 Southern's Orientation, Advisement, and Registration (SOAR) Team. SOAR Leaders help orient new students and their families to Georgia Southern during the summer SOAR sessions. Out of 122 students who applied for the coveted SOAR Leader position, 25 were selected based on their leadership potential, work ethic and ability to represent the University.

To be eligible for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.

A team of four undergraduates representing Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business advanced to the semifinal round at the National Diversity Case Competition held recently at Indiana University.

Dr. Bonita C. Jacobs, president of the University of North Georgia, has recognized more than 1,200 students who achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the fall 2015 semester.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges announced the names of more than 2,000 students who made their respective lists for achieving a 3.5 grade point average.

The University of North Georgia's fall commencement ceremonies were held Dec. 10-11 for more than 500 participants; in total, UNG conferred nearly 800 degrees for fall semester.

The following student has been named to Berry College's fall 2015 Dean's List, according to Provost Kathy Richardson. The Dean's List honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.

The 2015-2016 members of the Georgia State University Student Trial Lawyers Association (STLA) have been selected. STLA gives students an opportunity to gain experience in a courtroom setting through participation in national competitions. To participate in STLA students must try out each year.
